Warranty on my work

I stand behind the construction of your furniture for as long as my workshop exists. If a joint comes loose, a glue line opens or a part warps because of a construction fault, I will fix it free of charge. Solid wood moves with the indoor climate, and an oiled surface picks up signs of use over time. That is part of the material and is not covered by the warranty.

How to care for the surface is something I explain when I hand the piece over, and I'm always here if you have questions.

Repairs

If something isn't right with your furniture, write to me, ideally with a few photos. I'll take a look and tell you whether the damage is covered by the warranty. If the cause lies in the construction, I'll fix it free of charge. I'm also happy to repair furniture damaged by an accident or improper use. In that case I charge for labour and travel, and you know in advance what it will cost.

Exceptions

Repairs needed because of incorrect use or damage are not covered by the warranty and are charged for.

Natural properties of wood

Cracks caused by environmental conditions: Small cracks caused by changing seasons, temperature or humidity are normal and cannot be prevented.

Grain, color and knots: Differences in the wood's structure (grain) and color, and the presence of knots, are natural features of solid wood and are not defects. They cannot be repaired.
